Somatheeram Ayurveda Village features 24 dedicated treatment rooms for authentic Ayurvedic therapies, with an onsite herb garden that produces its own medicinal ingredients. Upon arrival, your personalised wellness program,e will be created based on your dosha (body type), which includes a customised diet and daily treatments such as Ayurvedic massages, medicinal oils, herbs, and detox therapies like enemas or laxatives, all tailored to support your individual health and wellness needs.

Dining

The sea facing diet restaurant serves Ayurvedic and multi-cuisine specialities, where you can listen to the sound of the waves whilst dining on the outdoor terrace. While your diet will be tailored to your dosha, the Ayurvedic diet is typically vegetarian with fresh ingredients.

Somatheeram is the world’s first Ayurveda hospital set in a resort and is not your typical holiday destination. It is best suiited for someone looking for an serious and authentic healing Ayurveda experience rather than a spa holiday.

What People Say About Somatheeram Ayurveda Village

I must say it was a delightful place. All the staff were more than happy to help, the room was lovely and clean and the treatments were great . No fancy music or calm relaxing European style treatments you can hear cars, dogs, and people talking the wind and the rain but they were authentic and effective and delivered with skill and kindness . The food was lovely even on my restricted non spicy diet and served in a lovely restaurant all open and cool breezes coming up off the sea. The hotel is set in lush gardens on the side of a hill lots of steps up but as you’re never in a rush not a  problem. You can also take the clock tower lift to the hotel below if you don’t fancy climbing up to the restaurant. Went out the local shops on my own and felt completely safe. Took a couple of trips as well. All in all a wonderful experience.
