The retreat is a peaceful sanctuary, with the Yoga Shala overlooking lush treetops, providing a serene space for yoga classes, group healing sessions, and dance and music workshops. The beautiful swimming pool is framed by palm trees, and the golden sands and energetic waves of the Indian Ocean provide a stunning backdrop. The daily rhythm at the Sanctuary is designed to make space for deep rest, and for some, this will look like spending more time alone for quiet contemplation in between treatments. For those who embrace a slightly busier schedule, there is an optional excursion or activity on offer each day. To ensure true relaxation and a digital detox, Wi-Fi is available only in common areas, for one hour during breakfast and dinner times. All wellness programs at Sen Wellness Sanctuary start with a personalised consultation with the in-house Ayurvedic doctor. During this session, your treatment plan is tailored to your specific wellness goals, including specialised programmes for detox, weight loss, and targeted treatments for long-COVID recovery. Experience a customised approach to health and well-being, guided by expert Ayurvedic practitioners.

Dining

At Sen Wellness Sanctuary, enjoy Ayurvedic meals infused with home-style Sri Lankan flavours, prepared by a local chef using fresh, seasonal ingredients and spices sourced from the local market. Served buffet-style at a communal dining table, the menu is carefully designed according to Ayurvedic principles, focusing on vegetarian and gluten-free options, with occasional servings of fresh local fish. The retreat offers two nourishing main meals each day, followed by a lighter dinner to support digestive health. To promote detoxification, coffee and alcohol are not served, enhancing the effectiveness of the wellness treatments. Good to Know

The current is too strong to swim directly on the retreat's doorstep, but a picturesque, 25 minute walk along Rekawa Beach will take you to a rock pool where it is safe to swim.  ​
