Its prime location in the mountain forest allows the hotel to offer an outdoor haven on its doorstep as guests can access numerous hiking and biking trails in the summer or ski-in and ski-out and toboggan runs in winter. Floor to ceiling windows accentuate the breathtaking views throughout the hotel.
The FORESTIS Spa extends over an area of 2,000 m2 over 2 floors with views of the Dolomites. The facilities are extensive with an indoor and outdoor Finnish sun, bio sauna, cold water tub, two relaxation areas and a silent room where guests can find silence and peace after their sauna session. There is a tea lounge with its own curated library of eight signature tea blends from South Tyrol and light snacks. The treatment menu has been inspired by the surrounding forest with unique healing treatments based on the individually developed principle of the four trees, the four healing woods, the four healing stones and the four tree frequencies. Each of these trees - mountain pine, spruce, larch and Swiss stone pine - possesses various active ingredients, frequencies and material substances that allow the human body to regenerate deeply and effectively.
Restaurant
Head Chef, Roland Lamprecht, creates innovative dishes inspired from the forest and meadows. His style of cooking blends tradition with modern techniques and the cooking philosophy is based on variety, nature and authenticity by inspiration from local and seasonal products from the land.
Bar
Local ingredients play a key role in the bar where herbs, berries, nuts, barks, tree needles and shrubs come from the surrounding forests to give all drinks a special touch.
Rooftop Bar
The rooftop bar is located in the middle of the three wooden towers and is the highest rooftop bar in the world due to its location. An open lounge area with a fire pit forms the centre of the bar making it suitable all year round. From here, guests have an unrestricted and unique view of the UNESCO World Heritage Dolomites, making the perfect spot, especially at sunset, this will be the perfect spot for apéritifs and digestifs.
Sustainability is at the heart of FORESTIS, not only because of the climate compatibility, but also because of the positive properties of the building materials such as stone, wood, fabric and glass. The energy supply is provided by its own plant and a wood heating system, which is 100% renewable energy. Lights in the garden are replaced by open fireplaces and a private garden with herbs and edible flowers has also been created. For the head chef, Roland Lamprecht, clean eating means not only using fresh, local goods, but also being mindful of packaging waste, water pollution and food waste. Overall, FORESTIS works a no-waste principle. Furthermore, the spa products consist of 100% natural ingredients and the natural water, the quality of which is identical to the well-known Plose spring water is recycled in the spa in refillable bottles.
The hotel is located in a secluded spot on the southern slope of the Plose mountain in the South Tyrolean Alps, offering spectacular views of the UNESCO mountain range World Natural Heritage Dolomites.
